Accommodation Booking Terms and Conditions
In providing booking and property services, Selwyn Accommodation Centre Pty Ltd and Jindabyne Real Estate Pty Ltd (“Booking Agent”) act in the capacity as Booking Agent and as such does not accept or undertake any personal liability.
1. The premises are rented to you for holiday purposes only and for the period stated on the payment receipt. Check in time is from 4.00pm on the day of arrival and check out is 10.00am on the day of departure. On departure the keys must be returned to the location that you collected them from (ie: key safe). PLEASE NOTE due to cleaning workloads in winter, delays may be experienced for check in times.
2. All reservations require a 50% deposit of the total value of the booking within 7 days of making the booking to confirm the reservation. The 50% balance is due for payment 30 days prior to the arrival date. Reservations made less than 30 days in advance require full payment to confirm. Reservation deposits can be made by direct deposit to Jindabyne Real Estate Pty Ltd’s Trust Account, or by credit card (we accept Visa and MasterCard) or cheque. Cheques will only be accepted with 3 weeks clearance or by prior arrangement. A booking fee applies to all bookings and is payable upon initial deposit. When payment is made by direct deposit, the payee must include the booking number and name of booking. PLEASE NOTE changes to the dates of your stay will incur a $50 fee and will not be accepted within 30 days of your arrival.
3. Cancellation Policy - bookings cancelled more than 60 days prior to arrival date will receive a refund less a cancellation fee of $100 and any credit card surcharge. Bookings cancelled 30 to 60 days prior to arrival will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of total invoice value and any credit card surcharge. Bookings cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival date will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking. Cancellations must be made in writing. PLEASE NOTE changing your property is also considered a cancellation as all properties are individually owned.
4. Each reservation is subject to a Security Bond by providing details of your valid credit card or $400.00 cash upon arrival. Cash Security Bonds will be refunded by direct deposit or cheque within 10 days of post departure inspection. The Security Bond covers cleaning outside normal requirements, excessive garbage, damage, breakage/s, loss of property, lost keys and late departure. No credit card or cash bond, no stay – no exceptions.
5. Unless otherwise stated within the property description, all premises are fully self-contained, however you will be required to bring your own linen (ie: sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, tea towels). The premises are NOT serviced during your stay. The premises must be kept in a tidy state and the number of occupants must not exceed the number of beds, or the number of guests as stated on the confirmation. Furniture must not be moved or rearranged. Failure to abide by this condition can result in additional charges or eviction from the premises.
6. The property is offered to you in a clean and functional condition. Upon departure the property must be left in a clean, tidy condition with all garbage put in rubbish bins. All food brought into the property must be removed or disposed of. An additional charge will be applied for cleaning considered to be beyond normal expectations, excessive rubbish removal, and loss/non return of keys. All properties have a strict No Smoking policy.
7. All damage, breakages or losses incurred during your time of occupancy are your responsibility and must be reported immediately and paid for by you. Any unreported damage, breakage or loss discovered following your departure will result in any charges associated therewith being applied against the security bond provided by you. An inspection of the premises can be made upon demand by the owner or Booking Agent should the need arise.
8. Under NO circumstances are animals or related species permitted on or inside the premises. Any breach of this condition will incur an automatic carpet cleaning fee of $300.00 AND any additional charges relating to excess cleaning and damage to any part of the property.
9. Acceptance of this booking is made in good faith by this Booking Agent but may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. In this event every reasonable endeavor will be made to find alternative accommodation.
10. For your security and safety please ensure that all windows and doors are securely locked when leaving the premises as weather conditions can change suddenly, causing damage to personal and owners’ property. Attention needs to be given to the security of the property due to the high incidence of crime in holiday seasons. No responsibility is taken by the Booking Agent or the owner/s for the tenants’ personal property.
11. Strata by-laws and council regulations must be complied with. We ask that consideration be given to other guests with respect to noise, parking and other issues that affect the peaceful enjoyment of others. A copy of the regulation by-laws as determined by the Strata Schemes Management Act 1996 should be kept in the unit for your information.
12. Owners have the right to cancel any booking should they wish to utilise their property at the same time. The Booking Agent will endeavor to relocate your booking to a similar property where possible at no extra cost, however no guarantees are made. The Booking Agent does not accept responsibility for decisions, actions or arrangements taken by the current owners of the premises or any other body which is outside its control.
13. The Booking Agent reserves the right to cancel any booking should anything arise, which in its opinion absolutely renders the booking impractical. The definition of an impractical booking shall be solely at the Booking Agents discretion. In this event, the Booking Agent shall notify you as soon as possible and do our best to arrange alternative accommodation or alternative dates, failing which all deposit monies paid will be refunded, but no other claim, right or action shall exist in or be made by either party.
14. Under no circumstances can the Booking Agent be held responsible for snow or weather conditions. Accommodation cannot be cancelled other than in accordance with the cancellation policy detailed in these terms and conditions.
