Selwyn is awesome for families because of the huge range of activities available, including those available to non skiers/boarders. Huge hits amoungst the kids (and the kids at heart) are snow tubing and tobogganing. Requiring absolutely no skill what so ever, these are the perfect activities for the whole family to participate in together.
The favorite Snowflake Tube Park is a thrill like no other. Situated adjacent to the toboggan slope, it is a carved out snow trail where snow tubers show the tobogganers how to slide down the hill in style at double the speed! Tube tickets come in 10 or 5 rides, they are not linked to one person so you can watch your friend’s face as they fly down the hill as well.
Tobogganing is the best value fun on the mountain. Tobogganers have their very own slope to slide down, and it’s very close to Selwyn’s car park and facilities. All you need is a Toboggan Pass, which allows up to 4 people into the toboggan area. No need to bring toboggans to the resort as Selwyn provides a free toboggan per pass from their Ski & Clothing Hire.
